About Environment and Climate Action

The mission of the Minister of the Environment and Climate Action is to draft, drive, implement and assess the environmental policies, land planning, urban, suburban and road passenger transportation, mobility, climate, forestry, the conservation of nature, energy, geology and forests, from a perspective of sustainable development and social and territorial cohesion.

Its mission is likewise to follow the implementation of the inter-ministry measures to carry out the Government’s Programme on climate action, together with the Minister of State, the Economy and Digital Transition, the Minister of State and Finance, the Minister of Home Affairs, the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, the Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, the Minister of Territorial Cohesion, the Minister of Agriculture, and the Minster of Maritime Affairs.
