Sofia Batalha was born in Lisbon in 1988.
She has a master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Lisbon Higher School of Economics and Management (2014). Her undergraduate degree was in Economics from Nova University of Lisbon Faculty of Economics (2010).
She has been a senior staff member of the Directorate-General for the Budget since 2013.
Specialist at the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for the Budget in Prime Minister António Costa’s 1st Government.
Deputy Director General of the Directorate-General for the Budget since 2019.
She has been a trainer at in-house training sessions of the Directorate-General for the Budget since 2015.
