The 6th Portugal-Mozambique Summit has now begun

The Portuguese Prime Minister Luís Montenegro welcomed the President of the Republic of Mozambique Daniel Chapo in front of the City Hall entrance for the start of the 6th Portugal-Mozambique Summit.

Both the Mozambican and the Portuguese national anthems were sung, and Luís Montenegro and Daniel Chapo inspected the military troops on parade.

This was followed by a welcome ceremony at the Porto City Hall’s Noble Hall.

The Mayor of Porto Pedro Duarte greeted on behalf of the city the President of Mozambique, to whom he handed the keys to the city. President Daniel Chapo thanked him for the acknowledgement and signed the City Hall’s Honour Roll.

The Prime Minister and the President of Mozambique then met on their own to exchange information on the situation in both their countries, discuss bilateral relations, the situation in Africa, and the international context.
