Portugal shows its support to Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza

On a post on X, the Portuguese Prime Minister noted that the US President’s proposal "meets the principles always supported by Portugal".

Luís Montenegro also stressed "the openness of the Israeli Prime Minister, the engagement of Arab and European partners, as well as the responsiveness of the international community" as "signs of hope for the end of the conflict".

"Portugal backs this initiative, which can be a starting point for a just and longlasting peace for both peoples", he reinforced.
