The Portugal-Mozambique Summit is held on 8 and 9 December in Porto with the Prime Minister Luís Montenegro and the President of the Mozambican Republic Daniel Chapo attending.
The summit begins at 9 am with the national anthems from both countries, followed by troops on parade and military honours.
This will be followed by a welcome ceremony at the Porto City Hall building, which includes a speech by the Mayor of Porto Pedro Duarte and the keys to the city being handed over to the President of Mozambique in acknowledgement.
The two political leaders will then meet on their own for about an hour in the City Hall while sector ministerial meetings are held in the Palácio da Bolsa.
The Prime Minister and the President of the Republic of Mozambique arrive at Palácio da Bolsa at 10:30 am, followed by a group picture, the plenary meeting, signing agreements, and Luís Montenegro and Daniel Chapo’s press statement.
After a working lunch, the Prime Minister, the President of Mozambique and a few Ministers will attend the opening of the Portugal-Mozambique Economic Forum at Palácio da Bolsa.
The Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion Castro Almeida, the President of the Republic of Mozambique, and the Prime Minister will give speeches.
The delegations include a dozen Ministers from each country.
