Brand creation and international promotion and e-commerce

Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises have a 57-million-euro assistance package available through Portugal 2030 for activities to expand their business model internationally.

The aim of this measure is to increase the number of new exporting companies, boost sales abroad for those who already export, and diversify exporting destinations.

The tender for bid submission will run in two phases; the first one will end on 30 December 2025 and the second on 31 March 2026. Enterprises from all regions of the mainland can apply.

The bid enables assistance with international operation costs, namely international marketing, knowledge, prospection and presence in foreign markets, the creation and international promotion of brand, or online presence and e-commerce.

Activities for organisational innovation are also eligible, namely implementing new organisational methods in the companies’ business practices, organising the workplace, or in foreign relations.

The grants are non-refundable. The funding programmes are the Programa Inovação e Transição Digital – PITD (Innovation and Digital Transition Programme - Compete 2030) with 50 million euros, PR Lisboa (Lisboa 2030) with 3 million euros, and Algarve PR (Algarve 2030) with 4 million euros.

The funding rate for eligible operations is 40%, whereas in the second phase, a funding rate of 50% is expected under Compete 2030.

The maximum incentive per operation and recipient in the first and second phase is 300 thousand and 150 thousand euros respectively, except for funding in the Algarve NUTS II region.
