Luís Montenegro greets Pope Francis during one of the Holy Father’s visits to Portugal

The Prime Minister and the Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, together with the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and the President of Parliament José Pedro Aguiar-Branco represented Portugal during the funeral rites for Pope Francis in the Vatican.

The Portuguese delegation took part in the official tributes, expressing Portugal’s respect and acknowledgement for the Holy Father’s legacy.
