SMEs have a further 12 million to expand internationally via e-commerce

The Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) that wish to expand their international business through e-commerce can apply to the second bid for tender under the C16 Component (Companies 4.0) of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (PRR), which has an overall allocation of 12 million euros.

 The goal of the 2nd bid for tender for projects under the "Internationalisation via e-commerce" is to support individual SME projects that, based on detailed international e-commerce plans, aim at fulfilling digital international expansion strategies based on implementing technologies and processes linked to digital technologies that require adjustments to their international business models.

This bid seeks to support projects from companies that specifically target the sale of products/services through digital channels. Only projects that promote and/or consolidate a direct presence on the online channels will be admitted, whether through their own online store or by joining marketplaces.

The tender will have two phases with an allocation of six million euros in each, of which 4.5 million are for projects under "New Exporters" and 1.5 million for projects under "More Markets". The first phase will run until15 September and the second until 20 October.

The bids are to be submitted using an online form on the IAPMEI and/or AICEP websites.

Under the scope of the 1st bid for tender for project that fall under the "Internationalisation via e-commerce" measure, 239 bids have been approved with a public assistance of 5.2 million euros to a total investment of 10.7 million euros.
