Speech by the Minister for Infrastructure and Housing at Opening of the Transport Research Arena

"Thank you very much for inviting me to open this very important conference. For the next four days, more than 2000 attendees will be gathered here under the motto "Moving Together – reimaging mobility worldwide".

The Transport Research Arena (TRA) brings together a community of transport and mobility companies, research institutions and public bodies and it is widely renowned as the main European stage for sharing the most advanced ideas and to put together new projects that will lead to future solutions.

2022 is a very special year for us, not only because we are holding the TRA here, in the beautiful city of Lisbon, but also because Portugal currently holds the Presidency of Conference of European Directors of Roads."
