Prime Minister António Costa highlighted the irreplaceable role played by the United Nations, given that it is still one of the greatest symbols of common collective conscience in protection of peace and human rights.

"Today, we celebrate United Nations Day. The UN is still one of the greatest symbols of our common conscience as humanity", António Costa wrote on Twitter.

In his message, the Prime Minister said that "the work of the United Nations to protect peace, human rights, a more inclusive and sustainable and role is unquestionable and its role to overcome global challenges is irreplaceable".
