Prime Minister visits Iceland and takes part in the 4th Council of Europe Summit

The Portuguese Prime Minister will be in Reykjavik from Monday 15 to Wednesday 17 May. António Costa will be visiting Iceland tomorrow upon invitation by the Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir. The aim is to boost bilateral relations between both countries and the visit will focus heavily on renewables, the green transition, and the blue economy.

On 16 and 17 May, the Prime Minister will attend the 4th Council of Europe Summit on the theme "United Around our Values". The Heads of State and Government will discuss the situation in Ukraine focusing on holding Russia accountable for war crimes, and the Council of Europe’s mission faced with the new threats to human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.
