Jorge Botelho has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.
Has a Postgraduation in Business Management from the University of Algarve.
He was Social Security Inspector.
Was also Mayor of Tavira, between 2009 and October 2019.
He was President of the Association of the Municipalities of Algarve / Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve, since 2013.
Between 1996 and 2000, he served as Member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Social Security Center of the Algarve.
Jorge Botelho was District Director of Faro's Social Security, from 2001 to 2002 and from May 2005 to October 2009.
He was Member of the Executive Committee of the Algarve Operational Program.
He was Member of the Municipal Assembly of Tavira, in the period between 1997 and 2009, and of the Intermunicipal Assembly of the Algarve.
