Biography

Marina Gonçalves was born in Caminha, on April 23, 1988.

She graduated in Law in Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Porto, where she also obtained a Master's degree in Administrative Law.

She practiced law, first as a trainee lawyer and then as a lawyer. Later, Marina Gonçalves became an advisor to the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party in Assembleia da República. In November 2015, she became an advisor to the Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs.

Between March 2018 and October 2019 she was Chief of Staff, first in the Office of the Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs and then in the Office of the Minister for Infrastructure and Housing.

Between October 2019 and September 2020 she was a Member of the Parliament (MP) for the Viana do Castelo constituency. 

She was vice-president of the Socialist Party's Parliamentary Group, where she followed the areas of housing, work and social security.
