Biography

Eduardo Nuno Rodrigues e Pinheiro was born in 1979.

Has a post-graduate qualification in "Local Authorities and Public Entities Management" from the INDEG-IUL ISCTE Executive Education and has a degree in Sociology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

Since 2002, he was a member of several Structural Funds Management Teams, especially in the areas of training and employment, under the jurisdiction of the  Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Social Affairs, during the Community Support Framework III and the National Strategic Reference Board.

From October 2013 till the beginning of 2017, he was Deputy Mayor of the Matosinhos Municipality.

Since 2013, he was member of the Inter-Municipal Assembly of LIPOR -  Inter-Municipal Service of Waste Management of Porto Metropolitan Area.

In January 2017, he assumed the position of Mayor of the Municipality of Matosinhos. At the same time, he assumed the positions of President of the Executive Boards of the Municipal Companies of Matosinhos Habit and Matosinhos Sport.  

Also in January 2017, he assumed the Presidency of Casa da Arquitetura – Portuguese Centre of Architecture.

From January 2017 until May 2019, he was President of the General Assembly of Metro of Porto.

In October 2017, he assumed the position of Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Matosinhos, responsible for the areas of urban planning, urban renewall, urban management and finances.

In December 2018, he was elected Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Porto Energy Agency.
