"It is absolutely clear that Portugal has all the advantage in
Brazil's interest, for example, in the privatization programme",
stated the Minister of State, Minister for Foreign Affairs Paulo
Portas, on his three-day visit to Brazil.
The Minister also stated that he aims to show Brazilian and
Portuguese Brazilian businessmen that Portugal is an attractive
country for investment and the reforms that are being carried out
to overcome the economic crisis "are investment
friendly".
"Those who create jobs, those who make transfers to our
financial system, to acquire property (...), who help boost our
economy, will have residence visas in Portugal," he added.
The Portuguese head of diplomacy also took part at a lunch in
Casa de Portugal, where he stressed the "entrepreneurial spirit" of
the Portuguese and the ability of establishing themselves in Brazil
and promoting partnerships.
